Change in NIH grant submission policy

Change in NIH grant submission policy

For those of you who submit proposals to NIH, an important change to their policy has been announced, effective immediately.

The previous "NIH A2" policy (in effect since 2009) limited applications to a single resubmission; this has been rescinded. Under the new policy, an unsuccessful resubmission (A1) application may now be resubmitted, without changing the scientific scope, as a new (A0) application.

The reasons for the change are explained by NIH here.
